The Ruins of the Future (Installation)
In this installation, a black Cat Lantern and a Thievish Mouse Lamp stare at each other amidst a pile of scattered rubble and strew-about dolls. As the exhibition was assembled inside a greenhouse in Yurinso, the audience had to view it through the glass. This display is reminiscent of a destroyed nursery school Yanobe visited during a trip to Chernobyl in 1997.
